On the third day of the Oakley Lowers Pro, fan favorites both triumphed and failed. Miguel Pupo secured his spot in Round 3 and will be looking to repeat his 2011 win. Local brothers Pat and Tanner Gudauskas advanced, as did Felipe Toledo.
San Clemente native Kolohe Andino gave it his best but came up short to Wade Carmichael (AUS), who stole the show with the highest heat total of the day. With Round 1 and the majority of Round 2 completed, the Oakley Lowers Pro is one step closer to declaring its champion.
