The first annual "Shoot The Moon" Event took place February 16, 2013. With a stacked field, snowboarders and skiers from Mammoth, Tahoe, Oregon and more threw down for the $10,000 purse. The course consisted of a 60 foot Big Air Jump into an 18 foot Quarter Pipe. Both snowboarders and skiers pulled out all the tricks with double corks being stomped throughout the event. When it was all said and done Ryan Hryckiewicz and his switch back rodeo 9 would walk away with the win and $2,000 cash for the Mens Open Snowboard Division. Kyle Lopiccolo, local favorite, won $500 in cash for sending it 13 feet out of the QP which was the highest air of the event. Jason Arens held it down for the skiers taken him fist placed and earning $1,000 cash. Danika Duffy took the win for the ladies with a 540 over the 60 foot jump.
