" hot dawgz & Hand rails returns to bear Mountain resort
saturday september 17, 2005!
Big Bear Lake, Calif.–
Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) is proud to announce the return of the
very successful summer Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails (HD&HR) event. HD&HR
is set to take place on Saturday September 17, 2005 at Bear Mountain Resort
(Bear Mountain), located in the San Bernardino Mountains near Los Angeles.
“We really didn’t know what to expect when we created this
event last summer. The unique late-summer event exceed all of our expectations
with nearly 3,000 people ultimately attending. We are expecting it to
draw even more people this year and it should be an even bigger spectacle
as HD&HR evolves into more of a pre-winter festival at Bear Mountain,”
stated Brad Farmer, Public Relations Director for BBMR.
HD&HR is FREE
and open to the public, however, the snowboarding or competition part
of this event is for invited professional snowboarders only. The event
will feature a new and incredibly unique competition setup, two major
snowboard movie premiers, a sponsor booth city, special event only season
pass roll-back prices, professional rider autograph sessions, product
giveaways, live DJ’s, BBQ’s, the Beach Bar, tons of snow and
some of the top ranked snowboarders in the world battling it out for $12,000
in cash prizes. HD&HR will also host a benefit for the JLA Foundation
(www.jlamemorialfund.org) and the Josh Malay Memorial.
HD&HR will be
covered by FUEL TV’s Project Detention and 54321, among many other
media outlets. Major Southern California radio stations will also be involved
in the promotion of the event. “Last year there were literally more
cameras capturing the event than there were riders competing. It definitely
became a major media affair,” added Farmer.
HD&HR will also
feature the public premier of Mack Dawg Productions new film “From
______, with Love”. In addition, Bear Mountain will premier the
new park movie “Double Down”.
Specifics on the event
setup and invited pro-riders will be released in July. For more information
