Salomon Snowboards Introduces The Revolutionary "F" Boot And SPX Binding Series For High Level Riders

For Fall/Winter '02/03, Salomon Snowboards, a worldwide leader in the development of innovative snowboard products, introduces the next evolution in the boot and binding technology. This season Salomon introduces the revolutionary "F" boot, the next level of performance, along with a completely new binding series delivering maximum response carbon in their highest-level offering.

BINDINGS

Salomon's new SPX binding series for aggressive riders is guaranteed to deliver a whole new dimension of features, precision custom fitting, and lightweight performance to create a fluid energy extension from the body to the board.

· SPX Carbon ($329) - Designed to work side by side with the F-boot, the SPX Carbon challenges the industry standard with the most technical, and best fitting binding system to date. Designed with Salomon's pro riders, this binding features an asymmetric carbon loaded box frame designed to deliver maximum control and power, increased feel, better anatomic positioning, and most importantly, perfect energy transmission.

A new fishbone strap constructed with autofit foam provides personalized support, and a carbon highback for instant reactivity during those quick transition adjustments. Designed to exceed the expectations of the most hardcore ripper and packed with features like fast fit pro toe strap technology and the new integrated mounting system for quick mounting and adjusting.

· SPX 6 ($269) - With similar features to the SPX Carbon, the new SPX 6 features a carbon fiber loaded base plate, an Alium integrated highback spine for instant heelside response and support and tool-free forward lean memory. A fishbone shaped heel strap with AutoFit foam for personalized support, fast fit pro toe strap technology, and integrated mounting system technology.

· SPX 5 ($239) - The SPX 5 features a fiberglass loaded edgetech baseplate for the perfect connection between your boots and board, an asymmetric heel strap design with AutoFit foam for maximum comfort, height adjustable highback for customized support, fast fit pro toe strap, and integrated mounting system technology. BOOTS

For Fall/Winter '02, Salomon worked extensively with their team riders to develop the most innovative, expansive, and technical boot range to date, the focus point being the revolutionary "F" boot. All boot models offer new men's and women's specific lasts, Twin Lap or Central tongue liners complete with Salomon's patented Quicklace system, high quality waterproof construction with materials and sealed seams to ensure dryness,

insulation, and natural flex feel. Additionally, each offers patented lace locking hooks, polygliding inserts and natural rubber soles with integrated EVA absorption compounds for resilience and rebound on landings.
