Better late than never! After a month long warm spell and a snow drought we are back to winter. Roughly two inches of snow layered our slopes Thursday night and cold temps ever since have provided perfect snowmaking conditions. This cool trend is forecasted to last over a week and we will be taking full advantage of it. We plan to make snow at every available opportunity during this cold streak.
Yesterday in The Scene was Volcom’s Peanut Butter & Rail Jam. With over 100 competitors and 3 different age and gender groups the riders charged the course leaving everything out there for the judges to decide who would podium for the chance to compete in the PB&RJ finals at the end of this season. At the end of the day it was Quinn Dubois in first, Joey Fava in second and Jordan Karach in third for boys 15 and under. For boys 16-21 it was Dillon McDaniels in 1st, Thomas Bacan in 2nd and Pat Fava received 3rd. In the Men’s Open class it was Chris Mullins who took home top honors with Simon sending it big for second and rounding off the podium was Jake Schiable.
