Summer is here and the course is firming up just like the USGA likes things. It is US Open week and we get to see the best in the world struggle at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania. The crew is busier than ever as things heat up here in Angel Fire. Hand watering and mowing takes up most of our time for the next few weeks. Our new controller is working better each week as we continue to fix sprinkler heads so we can create more uniformity and color.
Something that would help our effort is that we would love to see our members team up in carts. So many of the members ride alone and drive too close to the greens and approaches. If you need to get off the cart path please ask for a blue handicap flag so we can monitor who needs to get that close.

This view shows how cart traffic has ruined the edge and caused erosion. We recently added topsoil and seeded this strip in order to clean up this edge. Again proper etiquette is needed to ensure we don’t have to redo this problem. We appreciate any and all cooperation on this matter.
