August 21, 2017

Park City Mountain will run Crescent Lift starting at 10:00 am on Monday August 21st to provide a unique vantage point to view the Solar Eclipse high above Park City!

* Crescent Lift access is at our regular summer pricing for scenic rides. And 2017/18 season pass holders enjoy FREE scenic lift rides for the 2017 summer season, we highly recommend picking up your pass or activating it in advance of Monday to avoid any delays.

*The sun will be over 90% obscured in the Park City area!

*Crescent Lift, located in the Park City City Base Area will open for upload to the top of Crescent Ridge at 10:00am (downloading will also be available).

*Maximum eclipse of the sun will occur at 11:33am in the Park City area, with partial starting at 10:15am and ending at 1:00pm.

*Bring your own eye protection or pinhole projection device – please follow safety recommendations, we will have a limited number of glasses available on a first come first served basis.

*We do recommend reading on how to safely view the solar eclipse, including how to make your own pinhole camera.

Please pack out what you bring up and be aware that there will not be seating available at the top of Crescent Lift, we recommend bringing water and snacks if you plan to stay for any length of time as well.
