Mountain Updates:

The temps are holding, the new snow is helping, our groomers are amazing, and the forecast is looking promising today and the upcoming days ahead. We will be spinning the Tram, Ted's Express, Bear Cub Quad, and Finnland Magic Carpet from 10:30am-5:30pm today, while Glacier Bowl Express will upload from 10:30am-4:15pm for your upper mountain turns. Come join us in your winter happy place on top of the mountain and find the powder stashes still left from this last storm. Discover skiing & riding will take place today as scheduled. Terrain open from the top will be Mighty Mite over to the Citation sign-line and down through the Bowl. The Von Imhoff trails and Lower Race Trail will be open to get you to your lower mountain terrain which will include Christmas, the Chair 3 Road and both Magic Carpet zones. Be sure to check out the Lifts & Trails link for additional terrain updates.

The Inside Line:

With very little help from Mother Nature, our groomers have made it possible in the last week to ski right to the Tram! These guys sure are amazing at what they have been able to accomplish this year, so be sure to high five a groomer on your way down! Not headed to the hotel and wanting to park right by the Sitzmark? New FREE slope side parking available to everyone! This new parking area is located at the base of the Bear Cub Quad. This new parking lot is open from 8am – 10pm daily. No overnight parking allowed. Access is via Crystal Mountain Road. This is the best mountainside parking at Alyeska!

Apres Ski:

Join us again at the Sitzmark tonight for a FREE SHOW with Anchorage's very own Rabbit Creek Ramblers! The doors open at 9:00 and the show kicks off at 10:00 so grab your partner and some dancing shoes and we'll see you tonight! Don't forget the Sunday night at the The Sitzmark for Industry night with free pool, foosball and the oh-so-popular cornhole tournament where you will battle it out with the best for prizes. Tuesday will kick off with another night of of Absolut Trivia kicking off at 7:00pm. Grab a team or go it alone, but don't miss your chance to win not only a week's worth of bragging rights, but you're also battling it out for a $100 Alyeska Gift Card!

Other Info:

Join us all weekend long for Snow Safety Week where we have a variety of Snow Safety Events and Demonstrations for skiers and riders of all ages and levels. Our goal is to invite new and experienced snow seekers out on the mountain to learn new skills and to learn as much as you can to be as safe as you can while in the mountains. Please visit the Safety Awareness Information Booth located in the Daylodge from 11am-3pm on both Saturdays and Sundays for the rest of the month for more information about Safety Awareness Week and the classes, events and demonstrations that Alyeska will be offering. Alyeska will also be offering free helmet rentals, discounted prices for helmet purchases, discounts on beacons, and more! We may have some surprises up our sleeves for those already on the mountain who are demonstrating safe practices while on the slopes. Be sure to join us and fill your head with knowledge that will benefit you and your riding buddies so we can keep everyone safe out there!
