Men’s Halfpipe Finals
The rain coming down not only made the halfpipe faster, it made pipe conditions better (despite the fog) for the final riders competing for the crown at Tryvann Vinterpark in beautiful Norway. The crowds roared as I-Pod laid down his bag of tricks and placed number one after throwing out a run consisting of a backside double cork 1260 mute, frontside double cork 1080 truck driver, cab double cork 1080 mute and a frontside 1080 tail. With such a serious face after his run, you’d think he just lost the comp! Matt and Louie gave it a hard fight and came up close placing 2nd and 3rd.

Women’s Halfpipe Finals
The girls were throwing it down hard this event; one example was when Elena Hight got rocked when she hit the coping and knocked her helmet off. Both Kelly and Queralt are always placing on the podium, so it was neck-at-neck to see who’d come off first. Kelly was ecstatic about her 15th straight win in a row on the halfpipe, commenting, “It’s an honor to win the first TTR Halfpipe World Snowboarding Championships, I’m coming off a pretty incredible winning streak right now and winning this event is really just the icing on the cake.”
