This was my first Zumiez 100K and everyone who had been told me it was gonna be crazy. It started out mellow and just got wacky by the end. Java, Louif, Jed, Grenier, Bode, and Kevin from Salomon were the first we ran into!
Austin Smith was in attendance and we reminisced about the time I accidentally bought myself a ticket to Japan instead of him.
My dogs Ernie Torres and Angel Ramirez.
Capita’s Sean Tedore, the man in charge of making the 100K happen Kevin Winkel, and no 686 TM Pat McCarthy.
The handsome Brandon Phillips.
Volcom’s Brad Alband.
Louif playing around with an e-cig. He doesn’t smoke, he’s just messing with it. Java wants to play too, and of course Jed loves it all.
Ashbury and Nike team mates, Jed Anderson and Theotis Beasley.
Welp Cavan… I told you so! East reppin West.
The on-hill day. About to shred with Jed and DC Skate’s Ben Kelly.
Joe Sexton and Scott Stevens.
Ben Kelly getting his action on.
Jeff Taylor getting his.
Mikey Taylor with some style.
Jed signing a Salomander.
Nick Garcia, newly pro and ready to shred.
Angel Ramirez, Nick Garcia, and Nick Trapasso were ripping. Definitely the most fun run I had all day. Angel lipslide.
Nick Garcia got sidetracked.
Garcia backside 180.
Angel got this front board first try.
Nick Trapasso, nosepress.
Chris Grenier supporting!
Trapasso art angle.
Nick Garcia got the whole rail.
Getting ready to drop.
Angel front board pop out.
Jake OE, Keegan Vailaka, and Forrest Bailey.
Nima, Sexton, and Stevens.
The cool angle.
Louie Vito from Dancing with the Stars fame.
Darrell Mathes and Jake OE.
McCarthy, Scott, Joe, and Darrell.
The one and only Mikey Leblanc.
Nima and Jed introducing Ashbury to the Zumiez crowd.
Jed taking over with a few choice words.
This makes the crowd look pretty small. I swear there were like 2000-3000 people.
Jesse from Airblaster.
Ernie Torres is a massive OKC fan and Nima’s not, but they still got along fine.
Java Fernandez being appropriate.
Mark and Dave from Signal.
Boo Johnson and Keelan Dadd cutting the massive line to the bathroom. I’m way too polite to follow suit, so I gave up.
