In spite of very difficult conditions, Didier Défago realized a huge performance during the Opening Giant Slalom of Sölden. 7th of the first run, he ends 5th and signs his second best results in this discipline. “It’s good for the confidence to begin the season like that”, said the Swiss after the race.
Note that Leif Kristian Haugen has signed one of the best place of his career after his 11th place in Alta Badia in 2010 : “It was a challenging race in Sölden yesterday. However I managed to fight myself down to a respectable 13th place in the season opener. Super pumped about that result. It's always good to start of the season with a good result under the belt, knowing that the job that has been put down over the last months have helped improve my skills on the slopes”, has explained the Norwegian.
