On Saturday, September 27, 2014, Bear Mountain’s Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails ushers in another snow season with a massive So Cal pre-winter kick off, including music, vendor booths from over thirty snowboard brands, and Bear’s famous beach bar. In addition to the on-piste party and massive gear sales, the center of the celebration is undoubtedly the jib showdown that will take place on over 140 tons of ice and snow at the base of the Bear Mountain slopes.
This year marks the 11th annual iteration of HDHR and the top contenders in rail riding will descend on Bear to display their talents in front of an immense crowd. Over forty riders will compete to add their names to the list of past winners, an esteemed group that includes Keegan Valaika, Lucas Magoon, Jed Anderson and more. This year, Jaeger Bailey, Dillon Ojo, Brandon Hobush, Spencer Schubert, Johnny Lazzareschi, Andrew Brewer, Dylan Alito, Tommy Gesme, Johnny O’Connor, Denis Leontyev, Justin Fronius, Melissa Evans, Corinne Pasela and many more are among the A-list names that will be dropping into an inventive set up constructed by the Bear Mountain park crew.
If So Cal is too far a commute to watch the action live, don’t worry, SNOWBOARDER has you covered with a live broadcast direct from Bear. The 2014 HDHR Webcast, featuring famed snowboarder and urban iconoclast, Eddie Wall as the host to the proceedings will be live Saturday afternoon to bring the boarding into your living room.
