Bill Sydnor, one of the founding members of Eastern Winter Sports Rep Association, passed away on September 2. He owned Under the Sun Ski Shop in Frederick, Maryland with his family: wife, Bonny and children JP and Carrington. In the 1970s Bill represented Elan Skis, Spademan Release Systems, Far West and Shakespeare, as well as a number of other lines in the mid-Atlantic and South.
“Many of you will remember Bill as a good man, always with a smile on his face, always willing to help,” said Linda Irvin of EWSRA.

Bill was a good friend to any rep looking for advice, and a great source of information for retailers.”
“His dedication to winter sports was a passion, and without limits,” said Mary Kalis of Southeast Winter Reps Association.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 21st at 1 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick. Donations in his memory may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick, 4880 Elmer Derr Rd., Frederick 21703.
