Suunto is proud to announce that its Kailash collection has received one of the most prestigious design awards in the world today, the iF DESIGN AWARD 2016 in the “Product” category. The iF World Design Guide organizes one of the most distinguished design competitions and has given important recognition to Suunto’s heritage in designing products that combine aesthetics and functionality into a beautiful ensemble.

The Suunto Kailash is a unique adventure travel watch, designed for people born with the urge to explore. The Kailash GPS watch combines premium materials with features that frequent travelers enjoy, such as global automatic time and location updates, a unique personal logbook summarizing user’s travel stats and intuitive displays with the Adventure Timeline™.

“We’re thrilled to receive this prestigious award which is a tribute to the hard work of the whole product development team,” comments Timo Yliluoma, designer of the Suunto Kailash. “The design of the Kailash watch is aimed for purity and modernity. The premium detailing, a hallmark of Suunto watches, complements the discreet, classic form.”

Introduced in 1954, the iF Design Awards is a leader in recognition of innovative and quality design. This year, the international jury assessed more than 5,000 entries from 53 countries. The award-winning Suunto Kailash watch will be featured in one of the three subsequent special shows in the iF design exhibition in Hamburg, Germany.
