South Lake Tahoe and Truckee, Calif./Nev. (Wednesday, March 4, 2015) – The recent series of winter storms has delivered up to 19 inches of snow to the Best of Tahoe Resorts – offering ideal conditions for signature adventure clinics and big mountain events at Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood.
“The recent snowfall has made for incredible conditions for skiers and riders,” said Pete Sonntag, vice president and chief operating officer at Heavenly. “Kirkwood is 100 percent open with fresh powder; in addition to the great natural accumulation at all three resorts, temperatures have remained extremely cold, which have allowed for Heavenly and Northstar’s snowmaking systems to perform around the clock for the past several days. The combination of the storm’s natural snow, cold temperatures and nonstop snowmaking has been a tremendous benefit to our guests. Now is the time to enjoy mid-winter snow conditions at the Best of Tahoe resorts.”
