Park City – January 27, 2015 - Skullcandy, the original performance and lifestyle audio brand is stoked to announce their snow team’s incredible performance at the 2015 Winter X Games held in Aspen, Colorado. With a total of five medals across multiple snow and ski disciplines, this marks the team’s most dominant performance ever at X Games.
Pro Canadian snowboarder & Olympic Snowboard Slopestyle medalist Mark McMorris brought home his fourth and fifth Winter X Games gold medals this past weekend from the X Games. McMorris clinched his first gold of the competition in Snowboard Big Air Friday night after stomping a massive backside triple cork 1620. The second came Sunday afternoon as McMorris fought back from fifth place to score a 96 in run two, edging out Norwegian rider Stale Sandbech for the Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle gold.
New Skullcandy addition, Norwegian snowboarder Silje Norendal walked away from Aspen with her third X Games gold medal, and second consecutive in Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle over the weekend. Needing to perform on her final drop, Norendal stomped one of her most progressive runs to date putting her in first and defending her Slopestyle title.
