SASS Argentina is now offering Split-Clinics this summer with support from Spark R&D to push backcountry education and give clients a chance to try out the highest end bindings available.
S.C. BARILOCHE, ARGENTINA – July 29th, 2014 — Adventure Travel Company, SASS Global Travel, has partnered with splitboard binding company Spark R&D to offer split-boarding clinics using Spark R&D bindings at SASS Argentina this summer. SASS Global Travel has spent the past ten years creating the perfect platform for introducing high-end snowboarders to the backcountry. Taking advantage of full-on winter conditions in the heart of the North American summer, SASS Argentina clients are given the opportunity to ride unreal backcountry terrain while learning from some of the industry’s top professionals to push their avalanche awareness, backcountry knowledge and now splitboard technique. At SASS Argentina 2014, riders will have the ability to get on splitboards for the first time, or hone their skills, using Spark R&D bindings on Jones splitboards with instruction form SASS Argentina guides and Spark R&D Team Riders, Chris Coulter and Skylar Holgate.
“The backcountry is not the most accessible place, and we pride ourselves in teaching the skills to get people out there without unnecessary risk and in the most efficient way possible,” said Pete Connolly, SASS Global Travel Brand Manager and SASS Argentina Mountain Operations Manager. “With help from both Jones Snowboards and now Spark R&D, we are offering the highest-end line of split-demos possible. We are so excited to get our clients out experiencing these tools in their intended environment.” Giving splitboarders a chance to get on high-end bindings, and truly get a feel for the equipment, is a unique opportunity for those looking to take their riding to the next level. SASS Argentina clients now have another way to expand their knowledge and skill-set through the Split-Clinics made possible by Spark R&D.
The demo fleet consists of Spark R&D AfterBurner and Magneto bindings, both featuring the revolutionary Tesla System. The AfterBurner is a stiff and powerful, big-mountain charger while the Magneto is a lightweight, nimble, pow slashing machine. Both feature the Tesla System, which is a platform that integrates the touring brackets, climbing wires, and optional crampons into a fully self-contained, pin-less splitboard binding system, giving riders a hassle-free backcountry system with no unnecessary moving parts – just clean, simple design, all working together.
