Twenty-nine years ago in 1985, Sims released the first pro model snowboard ever, the Terry Kidwell Round Tail Pro Model, significant additionally because of the skate-influenced shape that fueled both freestyle progression as well as how easily new snowboarders could learn to make turns. Now, for 2014, Kidwell is re-releasing 155 of the iconic boards. Here at SNOWBOARDER, we were lucky enough to go through the board building process with Terry and legendary board-builder, Paul Schmitt. Enjoy this video because in snowboarding, our past, present, and future are inexorably linked, and that’s really cool.
