Peak Design, maker of essential carry equipment and camera accessories, will donate 100% of proceeds from its online sales this Earth Day to the non-profit, the Conservation Alliance. In conjunction with the Alliance’s 3rd annual #WeKeepItWild campaign, Peak Design joins over 20 other Conservation Alliance members that have also commited to the day of giving. All proceeds from the Earth Day campaign will benefit the Conservation Alliance’s ongoing mission to protect wild places for their habitat and recreation values.
Peak Design joined the Conservation Alliance as a member organization in 2016 and is excited to participate in the #WeKeepItWild campaign. While participating members in the campaign are asked only to donate a portion of proceeds from their online Earth Day sales, in true Peak Design fashion, the company has decided to go all-in and donate a 100% of all profits from the day. Customers on the Peak Design website will not only be able to purchase some award winning Peak Design gear, but can do so with the satisfaction that their money will directly benefit the wild places they love.
“Peak Design is a firm believer in the importance of public land and the Conservation Alliance has played a key role in the protection of this land across the nation,” said Annie Nyborg, Director of Corporate Responsibility and Community for Peak Design. “We have seen an increase in legislative attacks on our public lands over the course of the last year and feel compelled to play a stronger role in supporting organizations that defend these lands as well as raising awareness.”
The commitment to the #WeKeepItWild campaign is yet another example of Peak Design’s mission to offset the company’s environmental impact in 2017 and beyond. The company recently launched a website called Give A Shot, which connects the visual needs of environmental non-profits with those of photographers and videographers interested in donating their time and talent. In addition, Peak Design will once again host their yearly SUMM1T event in September 2017 to foster relationships between the creative, environmental and business communities for the betterment of the planet.
