Lake Tahoe Area Resort Offers Top-to-Bottom Skiing and Riding, Best Holiday Season Snow Conditions in Years
HOMEWOOD, Calif. – Dec. 23, 2015 – Following a series of early season winter storms, Homewood Mountain Resort has opened 90 percent of the mountain and all of its chairlifts in advance of the holidays. With snow depths in excess of four feet, the Lake Tahoe area resort is offering top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding with access to beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain.
“The series of winter storms we’ve received throughout the month have set us up to offer some of the best holiday season snow conditions we’ve had in years,” said Kevin Mitchell, General Manager of Homewood Mountain Resort. “The best part is it doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon. The weather forecast calls for snow to continue until Christmas.”
The National Weather Service forecast calls for snow to continue through Thursday evening, with accumulations of up to a foot of snow possible before sunny skies return on Christmas day.
Resort guests are invited to ski with Santa from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on December 23 and 24. On December 26, enjoy live music featuring DJ Chango at Big Blue View Bar from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and at North Lodge featuring Dave Lockhart from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The resort is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lift tickets as low as $44 when purchased online in advance. Unrestricted 3-Pack tickets that can be used any day, all season long are also available and can be purchased online in advance. 3-Packs are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
