Mt. Baker, Washington has long been regarded as an epicenter of snowboarding in the Northwest. The snow, the terrain, and thus the stories that have emerged from this place make it an integral part of many snowboarders’ personal experience. This is true for Giro Snow team riders, Bryan Fox and Curtis Ciszek who head to Mt. Baker every season. Fox and Curtis have been attending the Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom for a decade each and this year, they returned to document their experience with the Giro crew, Nils Mindnich and Seth Huot. While most of the season is spent heavy on travel and filming, this excursion allowed everyone to unplug and ride for the pure enjoyment of making turns, whether they’re made up of soft powder, or icy, intimidating slalom lines. The upcoming episode 2 of Giro Snow presents Unplugged picks up where this video leaves off as the crew heads north to Retallack Lodge in search of bottomless fresh turns. Stay tuned for a plethora of powder with the Giro boys, dropping right here on Snowboarder.com Thursday, October 23rd.
