David Letterman is sitting behind the desk of The Late Show for the final time tonight, May 20, 2015. And while here at SNOWBOARDER, many of our crew grew up watching this dry, snarky late night talk show host, it’s not the Stupid Human Tricks, the trips to Rupert’s Deli, or the purchasing enough Taco Bell tacos to fill up a convertible that has endeared us to Letterman the most over the years (well, maybe the taco/car thing, that was pretty sweet). Over the past decade and a half, Dave has hosted a long list of talented snowboarders and each time a professional has sat in the guest hot seat, Letterman has always handled the subject of snowboarding with care, a rarity in mainstream media. Letterman’s guest list includes Danny Kass, JJ Thomas, Ross Powers, Tara Dakides, Seth Wescott, Shaun White, Kelly Clark, Hannah Teter, Sage Kotsenburg, Kaitlyn Farrington, and more. So, from all of snowboarding, thanks Dave, we’ll miss ya.
