Arbor is sustainable to the core.

All of Arbor Snowboard’s woodcores are made using 100% FSC Certified Poplar, or are blended with other sustainable materials such as Paulownia or Bamboo. Paulownia is a highly renewable species that delivers ultra lightweight performance and maintains a tensile strength comparable to traditional wood core materials allowing for maximum weight reduction without reducing durability.

Bamboo is one of
the strongest materials on the planet. It has 40 times the effective life of carbon fiber and provides 60% more return than traditional core materials. Bamboo’s tensile strength and weight-to-strength ratio are superior to steel; yet bamboo is light, flexible, resistant to compression, and is today’s most renewable and sustainably grown raw material.
The mission of the FSC, or Forest Stewardship Council, is to promote environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world’s forests. Their vision is to meet current needs for forest products without compromising the health of the world’s forests for future generations. To learn more about FSC principals and criteria click here.
