The night started out with a microphone announcement by Junko Nakamura, Harajuku`s lovely store manager. Letting eveyryone know that the party was on. DJ Kogee and DJ Quietstorm hit the music switch and the doors opened with a group of Tokyo`s finest, crowding down the stairs to the basement store with a well exceeded capacity of 500 + Volcomites.
Volcom Japan's Harajuku 5th anniversary featured live painting with Dyezu crew/ Barnstormers Mike Ming and David Ellis, the launch of the Dyezu exhibition and last but not least the premier of "The found Beauty" A Dyezu reunion.
Naomi Kazama( South) the Curator of Dyezu and producer of "the found Beauty" came out in a red lace dress, a Volcom store 5th anniversary tee, a bottle of tequila and a 1% for the planet counter card strapped to his head with masking tape. David Ellis splattered paint on the canvas, as Mike Ming took his rollers to action.Which ended with splattered across the store and on guests as they enjoyed the scene. The
overwhelming capacity on the Wednesday night party, resulted in guests spilling out on the rainy streets of Omotesando.
This is really whats its all about Good vibes, good people, and great entertainment!
The party continues on October 5th at the Volcom Japan Showrooms with the opening exhibition from 7pm-9pm
