Torstein Horgmo and Jamie Anderson Take Slopestyle at the Nike 6.0 Open, Winter Dew Tour at Breckenridge Co.
Wrapping up the first stop of the Nike 6.0 Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge, CO, we bring reigning champ Jamie Anderson and Torstein Horgmo to the podium as they place #1 in the Slopestyle event. With the snow pounding again, the riders were able to handle the conditions and throw down their tricks like no other.
Second Place Went to Newcomer Mark McMorris
Torstein's run included a frontside nose bluntside to fakie then switch backside tailslide to switch on the first two problems. On the first jump, he pulled a switch frontside double cork 10 and then a switch backside 9 on the second jump; finishing with a backside 270 on the box and backside 7 on the next, with an impressive frontside double cork 10 on the last jump.
Second place for men's was a newcomer - Mark McMorris out of Canada, only 17 years old. His score of 93.75 was given for his cab 270 on the rail, switch lipslide 270, then cab 900 double cork, double wildcat, frontside 7, then back 10 double cork.
Jamie Anderson dominated the women's event, comfortable enough to even switch up her line of tricks at the last minute. She won 1st place with a clean backside 180 to switch backside 180, a backside 360 and a frontside 360, sprinkled with some corks. This is Jamie's fifth 1st place finish at the Winter Dew Tour, making records in Winter Dew Tour history.
