Mount Hood Meadows Spring passes on sale now!
The season is far from over as the snow continues to fall at Mt. Hood Meadows. The rest of the season is yours with our Unlimited Spring season pass for just $139. Purchase the pass online or at the ski resort. Pass holders receive discounts of up to 25%
Lifts are scheduled to operate daily through May 1 and we're considering extending the season on weekends into May. Night operations are scheduled through March 27 on our Wednesday - Sunday evening schedule. Of course scheduled operations can change so always check our conditions page for the latest operational schedule
FRIDAY NIGHT RAIL JAM
Come on out the Friday and jam on our featured rails in this progressive party in Shipyard. A DJ will set the tone for a fun evening of sessions. Prizes and swag will keep the vibe going as we progress from beginner to advanced competitors. The jam starts at 6 PM and goes until 8 PM. Each rider will get three runs to hit two features and impress our judges.
There are two rail jams left, so if you can't make it this Friday we hope to see you at the final jam on March 25! Helmet and liability release signed by parent or legal guardian required.
BANKED SLALOM REGISTRATION April 9
Mt. Hood Meadows will present the 5th annual Full Sail Banked Slalom, sponsored by Full Sail Brewing. The course will be constructed on Meadows' Banked Slalom run in Daisy Bowl. Both skiers and snowboarders will run the same day - April 9. Online registration will open this week, and is $25 for the men and women open and masters (40+) divisions, and $15 for the junior (17 and under) divisions. There is a $4,400 prize purse to be split among the open and master division winners (based on full fields), and gift cards will be awarded to the junior divisions. Each competitor gets two runs - combined time between two runs will be used. Field limited to first 120 registrants. Additional $5 for day of registration (if there is availability). Helmets are required for the competition.
PARK & RIDE $25 We have lowered our Park & Ride round-trip bus ride prices from $35 to $25! Park & Ride is round-trip weekend and holiday transportation from the Portland area. The three pick-up locations are Tualatin, Beaverton, and Gateway. Deluxe motor coaches with storage for equipment take you right to the front of our main lodge. Lift ticket and bus packages are only $69. Leave it to us to trek through the snowy roads while you sit comfortably inside.
LIFT TICKET AND RENTAL $79 Take advantage of our Adult One Day Lift Ticket with Rental Package for only $79 now in our webstore. This package is also available for kids age 7-14 for $60. Rental equipment includes skis, boots and poles or snowboard and boots. The night version of the lift ticket rental package is also great deal - just $40 for the rentals and a 3 - 9 PM lift ticket!
FILM FESTIVAL RECAP Blake McCoy took top honors at the 2nd annual Mt. Hood Meadows Film Festival, presented on Saturday at Meadows. Blake and a solid core of riders took full advantage of the late February powder draped over Meadows' spectacular steep terrain in his submission entitled, "Mt. Hood Shreadows". Meadows showed the top 10 finalists of the Film Festival, transforming the Vertical Restaurant into a theater. A crowd of 200 packed the theater and cheered on the film makers. All 10 finalists won a prize package including a logoed Columbia Sportswear backpack, a $50 Meadows gift card, a KEEN footwear certificate, Vitaminwater, Full Sail attire and Rollic hat and water bottle. The top three finalists also received Go Pro HD helmet cams. Blake edged out the competition to receive the first place $500 cash prize. Top ten finalists included Blake McCoy, Evan Applegate, Anthony Leone, Celeah Norris, Chris Bright, David Panton, Tommy Ellingson, Grant Abbett, Jacob Oberlander, and Jeremy Carples.
3 DAY HOLIDAY KIDS CAMP March 21-23 Our 3 day camp over spring break offers kids a great way to play on the snow! We provide alpine lessons for students age 4-12, and snowboard lessons for students age 7-12. Kids will be put in the same group with the same instructor for 3 consecutive days providing an excellent opportunity to make friends and bond with the instructor. You'll be amazed by the progress your child can make in 3 days! There will be 4 hours of on snow time each day and lunch is provided. A second camp is offered on April 4-6. Reservations are required at least 48 hours before the first day of camp.
3 DAY FREESTYLE CAMP March 21-23 Whether preparing for an upcoming competition, or just looking to enter the park for the first time, this camp is great to progress your freestyle skills. The camp is open to intermediate level skiers/riders ages 7-14. Each camp day includes 5 hours (9 AM - 3 PM, with an hour break for lunch) of coaching with a park specialized instructor. Topics covered will include, but are not limited to: jumps, half-pipe, rails and boxes, flatland, all mountain freestyle, park safety and etiquette. Groups will be split by age and ability for the best learning environment. Reservations are required.
PARK SMART CHALLENGE We have four more prizes packs ready to give away thanks to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital! Once a week we draw from names that have completed our Park Smart Challenge for a winner. This winner receives a prize pack valued at over $175 and includes a Dakine backpack, fanny pack, utility bag, and either a ski or snowboard bag! In order to win you need to successfully take the Park Smart Challenge - upon completion you can register for the drawings. If you've already completed the quiz, then you're already registered and you're eligible for all the remaining drawings. Winners are contacted directly via telephone or email.
