How to get to Jackson Hole this winter?
With September bringing more than a few inches of snow to the Tetons, it is high time to start answering the most important question of the fall: How to get to Jackson Hole this winter? The answer is simple: It's the 4th Flies Free deal.
There are more than a few reasons to make 2011 the year to tick Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) off the bucket list.
Reason # 1: La Niña. Perhaps the best 2 words a Jackson Hole aficionado could ask for. La Niña is a weather pattern that favors heavy snow in the Tetons and has historically correlated with deep powder. The last la Niña winter was 2007/2008-locally referred to as 2007/2000great when over 700" of snow accumulated before the faucet finally turned off in June.
Book any group of 4 travelers through Jackson Hole Central Reservations, from anywhere in the US, on any airline, for travel all season (except 12/22-1/4) and get the 4th airline ticket free.*
Burton Stash Parks
Reason #2: Stash Parks. 4 Burton Stash Parks have been built at JHMR this summer. These organic terrain parks built entirely of native logs, dirt, and rock will be home to the most creative riding and skiing in the Rockies. Ramps, jibs and rails will complement custom JH features that you won't see anywhere else.
Reason #3: Best Ever Grooming. A new winchcat in the fleet means a more consistent and smoother carving experience than ever before. Teaching the little ones to ski? Jackson Hole's uncrowded, and beautifully groomed cruisers will be without equal.
Reason #4: Snowmaking. This year we invested in a 25% increase in our snowmaking capacity insuring smoother corduroy on all of our terrain. Reason #5:
Smooth Travel. Touchdown in Grand Teton National Park and it's a short ride to JHMR. The Jackson Hole Airport is expanded this year with twice the ticketing space and 3 times the boarding space-that means a smoother journey and less time in transit.
