Giant Slalom Results -
Double Olympian Rosey Fletcher (Girdwood, AK) breathed a big
sigh of relief Sunday as she became eligible for her third Olympic
Games by nailing a second place parallel giant slalom result in Austria.
“Here on Kreischberg, I once won and finished once third. Now
I grabbed silver. Kreischberg will always have a special place in
my heart,” said Fletcher..

Bleiler & Shaun White = Killin' It!
The face of the 2006 U.S. Snowboard Olympic Team is taking
shape and distinctly resembles riders Gretchen Bleiler (Aspen, CO)
and Shaun White (Carlsbad, CA). Bleiler won her second Chevrolet U.S.
Snowboard Grand Prix halfpipe contest Sunday at Mt. Bachelor, Ore.,
scoring 42.5. White completed his Grand Prix hat trick with his third
Grand Prix victory and a score of 45.3..

U.S. SBX CHAMPIONSHIPS: Win secures World Cup starting spots for the
next three events: Watanabe, Olson and the rest of the U.S.
SBX riders will have to wait until the New Year to duke it out for
those coveted Olympic SBX team spots. Next up are two SBX races in
Bad Gastein, Austria, Jan. 4-5 – one of which is an Olympic
qualifier – and one final race before the Games in Kronplatz,
Italy, Jan. 14. The U.S. Olympic Snowboard Team will be announced
