A note from Tim Windell:
Snowboarding has defined my life from the first day I stepped into bindings
to the overwhelming joy of being crowned two time vice world champion.
This was the beginning of the rest of my life.
My love for snowboarding helped me characterize myself and find something
even more amazing: snowboard, ski and skateboard camps. After running
camps in Europe, Canada and Government Camp, Oregon it was obvious moving
the campus out of the cities would help me to realize my dream of building
the safest, most progressive camp in the world. Nineteen years and over
20,000 campers later, seeing a smile on the face of a camper makes it
all worthwhile.
Watching former campers
like Hannah Teter, Gretchen Bleiler, Kelly Clark, Shaun White, Danny Kass
and Lindsey Jacobellis all grow up at camp and later win medals at the
Torino Olympics was truly unbelievable. Camp has grown beyond my wildest
dreams and become so much more than just a place to come snowboard, skate
or ski.
Camp has changed people's
lives forever, including my own. Thanks to everyone who has helped me
along the way.
