Halloween
at Northstar
Truckee,
Calif. (October 31, 2008) – Halloween
at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort will be chock full of treats to keep
the ghouls and goblins entertained this year, as kids ages 14 and under
can participate in a costume contest while those of all ages can join
the party with a Halloween Rail Session, movie premiere, trick-or-treating
and more at the Village at Northstar™.
Activities will take place on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m., with
DJ “Edgar Allen Flow” mixing it up on the turn tables throughout
the night as ghosts and witches trick-or-treat through the Village at
Northstar shops, vie for best costume in the resort’s costume contest,
and compete for bragging rights and ghastly treats in the Halloween Rail
Session. Hosted by Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s terrain park staff,
the Rail Session will take place in the Village at Northstar (near True
North), and will feature rails designed by Snow Park Technologies (SPT),
the leader in the world of terrain park development and event course design
and consulting. SPT clients include ESPN Winter X Games, Burton US Open,
Vans Tahoe Cup, and many more.
Oakley will present the film debut of “Show & Prove,”
hosted by professional skier CR Johnson, featuring himself and Tanner
Hall. Filmed over a six month period during the 2005-2006 winter season,
the film documents some of the struggles Tanner and CR encountered during
the season. In conjunction with the premiere, sponsored athletes CR Johnson,
Tanner Hall, Seth Morrison and Skogan Sprang will be autographing posters
next to 001, an Oakley Concept Shop inside the Village at Northstar.
Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s 9,000 square foot ice rink will be open,
with skate rentals available for just $5. For more information on Northstar
Resort’s Halloween activities.
