The Nippon Open takes place in the remote ALTS Bandai Resort in Fukushima, Japan. It is the largest resort in the Tohoku area and has an unparalleled access to the slopes, where floodlit runs give you the opportunity to ride up until 9pm every night. With funparks, pipes and BX courses dotted around the mountain there is a little gem to be found around every corner of this amazing place. The area also gets an incredible amount of light, cold snow which makes it a haven for anyone who wants to take a trip off the beaten track and claim a few turns in the pow.

The super pipe is pre-cut in to the hill, whereas the massive slopestyle is the result of shifting hundreds of tones of snow in early season preparations.

The Nippon Open has also got one of the craziest rail comps you are likely to see, with a heap of mind blowing constructions specially prepared to give pro and local alike a run for their money.
