The most comfortable boots on the planet...really
These are by far the cushiest boots money can buy. I've tried on or demo'd about 30-40 pairs of boots, so I can say this with confidence. I originally wanted something easier to lace, but I quickly got over the fact that these don't have a speed lacing system (BOA, etc). They fit beautifully, and hold the heel well. There are only two other boots available that are even close to comparable to these. The Thirty Two Lashed, and the Northwave Legend SL. For those of you who like a very soft boot, with very little support, you might like the Lashed better. The Legend has a speed lacing system which is nice, but don't have quite as much cush as the Grails do. I do recommend the Legend's, but they are damn near impossible to find in a local store since Northwave is a smaller company and ships all their boots over from Italy. I've already hit the slopes 3 times with my Grails and have no complaints. I get just enough support, yet a lot of comfort with this medium flex boot.
Great Boots
First day on them and they are great! I'm just an average Joe that works a 9 to 5 and rides almost once a week in the winter. These Grails are soooo comfy; they actually got more comfortable as the day grew longer. I was really whinny about my feet hurting before this. By the end of today with these new 2011 Grails, I couldn't even tell I had boots on. Good heel hold too, skinny ankles man. Cushing in the soles are great, I hit some really ruff, choppy, in the trees today and they handled perfectly. I was able to balance through all of it with no shock to feet or ankles. Landed all of 9 out of 10 jumps today and the cushioning in these boots are for real. They look great and even feel better. I was riding 32 prions before these, like the other fellow replied they do crap on 32. Also, I was wearing a 10 in 32 and bought these grails in a 10, they fit perfectly if not better. The boots seem very light in weight. Oh yeah, DogFunk is great. Excellent customer service, they are very knowledgeable and have quick service. DogFunk is where I bought my 2011 Grails. Also, I just bought a pair of bindings online like 1 hour ago and I bought them from DogFunk.com.
