This is a great vest, it is a Windstopper vest and it's thickness definitely stops wind penetration. I also have a North Face Windwall 1 Fleece Vest that I use regularly but it is really light and thin compared to this Marmot vest. I love this Marmot vest, I can use it in the Fall or Winter with just a long sleeve or sweatshirt underneath. I am 5'5 and 138 pounds and the Small is a little snug on me but I can manage to zip it up if I wear just a t-shirt or long sleeve shirt underneath. If I wear a sweatshirt underneath it is difficult to zip up, therefore I leave it unzipped. The length is fine for me. In comparison, The North Face Windwall 1 Fleece Vest Small size fits a little looser on me.
