"WD-40....????"

I went and brought WD-40 to clean my edges because they were getting rusty.

When I was cleaning my edges, I found out that WD-40 works really well at cleaning the base of stains, dirt, wax etc. No I did not clean the whole base with the WD-40 and Yes I use a oneballjay base cleaner before I hot wax my board.

The WD-40 also worked good at cleaning the topsheet of stains and dirt.

My question:

I happened to come across the WD-40 by accident and was wondering if it is safe to use it as a cleaner for just in case purposes or last minute cleaning at the hill???

Has anyone else here happen to come by WD-40 and use it on their snowboard? Any experiences and what do you use the WD-40 for??

Thanks

Chue Chang

I would never use wd-40 its a solvent and is good at removing plastic too just like acetone or paint thinner. You could take some oil and very lightly coat the edges to keep them from rusting.
