He thought about his first victory at a World Championship event:” I feel so great in the pipe, it is big fun to race, the halfpipe directly in the village, such a big crowd – that is energy in pure form!!” Also Markus Keller had a spectacular performance. Despite that he messed up his first run he did not lose his cool and had a spectacular second run and was able to secure the third place.

At the ladies the Swiss Fabienne Reuteler and Manuela Pesko were only beaten by the Norwegian Kjersti Oestgaard Buaas. The 18-years-old Norwegian girl rocked the pipe on the Bolgen and secured the truly deserved winner’s check. The 22-years-old is at the first peak of her carrier with her 3. place at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and the WC title. World Champion 2000 and 2001 Stine Brun Kjeldaas (NOR) was happy about the second place in the ISF WC ranking, the third place went to Manuela Pesko (SUI).

Therry Brunner was able to fix the Vice-World-Champion-title for the third time in succession and was again beaten by the second of the event in Davos: the present World Champion Gian Simmen.
