Winterstick Snowboards signs backcountry legend Tom Burt and launches Consumer R &D program

Lake Tahoe, Ca. Winterstick Snowboards’ is pleased to announce that they have signed backcountry legend Tom Burt, to a three-year contract. The deal was sealed over much maguro and sake at Yama Sushi, in Tahoe City. At the dinner  to wish Tom well on his new home at Winterstick were his wife Trish, Jeremy Jones and Tiffany Sabol, Mike Hatchet, John Percy (Dave’s Snowboards), and Aaron Sedway.

Winterstick owner Chris Lorenz toasted Tom saying, “We are really fortunate to have such a true professional like Tom Burt representing our company.”  Tom will be heavily involved in future board development at Winterstick and will also design a mid-season release 172 Signature Model. Tom is the latest edition to the current Winterstick team of Adam Hostetter, Kern Barta, and Greta Gaines. Winterstick would also like to wish everyone a happy and powder filled New Year!    

Winterstick Snowboards launches "R & D program" direct to consumers  

Winterstick Snowboards’ new owners want the brand’s loyal customers to be part of the future board development. Winterstick has introduced a new “Consumer R&D Program” via its web site www.winterstick.com.For a limited time and quantity this season, Winterstick will be making “Limited Edition R&D” models available direct from the factory. Winterstick launched this program because it wanted to give its devoted riders the opportunity to
have some direct input into their product, and due to the overwhelming amount of emails their web site has received since its launch.
